There has been a flurry of art activity happening at 127 Art Street ....with hardly a peep from me. Here is a rundown of updates, just to get this site current (and organize my thoughts a bit - I am having a hard time believing all these dreams are coming true, all at once without any fanfare. Quietly working on dream projects that I didn't see coming until they were smack dab in my face.
Finished and delivered a public art piece to the Saint Clair Superior Development Center and had fun meeting my sponsor at the amazing private party at Viva Dance Studios in Asia Center.
The Rooster will be installed soon in front of Dominion - who purchased the fancy fella for their entrance.
Also delivered a Highly Caffeinated Flamingo sculpture to the city of Parma for their Flamingo Fever event. This silly bird will be placed in a local business and it also bought me a ticket to their fundraising event in the fall, that makes 3 big parties, so far! The night is young.
Staying on theme here, tomorrow I head to Cincinnati to meet with and pick up the material for a public art piece that will find it's home in Cincinnati in the fall. "Galaxy Cat" will be born soon....
As soon as I get home from Cincinnati, I head off to Kelly's Island for the weekend, to paint murals on a small building at Camp Patmos. I am beyond excited for this chance to just play with paint near Lake Erie. Dreams do come true.
Even bigger news though is the project at the local mall. I am currently working on two interactive murals for their new art center, setting up the brand new, just dry walled art studio and getting set up to curate my first show in the new gallery space.
Not only is all that going on, but I am planning workshops for the space that incorporate local businesses in the mall. *happy dance!!!*
And.....summer art classes and camps start up in one week.
Yep, all the art, all the time.
