Shannon Timura is a mixed media artist with an affinity for using textiles and concrete to create whimsical pieces.
Feminine Alchemy is what she calls it. The ability to take the mundane and ordinary and transform it into something magical.
Chosen by P&G to create 3 larger than life “Bubble Girls” for their Olay Whips campaign. This installation is currently on display at Fountain Square in the heart of Cincinnati and will be featured in the December edition of O magazine. (Oprah, baby!)
Currently working on a new collection of floral art using this alchemy inspired technique. Large scale flowers and a Frida Kahlo bunny for the upcoming Petcasso in Cincinnati.
Past projects include interactive murals at Great Northern Mall for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kelly’s Island, party rooms at Amazone in Medina and other murals in private homes. Also designed a Rooster for Dominion Power for the Year of the Rooster project as well as numerous theater sets and whimsical upcycled animals for Craftin Outlaws.
